Reaction setup for optimization multistep reactions and azeotropic drying in one device

The preparation of 18F-labeled compounds (PET Tracer) typically requires several time-sensitive processes including azeotropic drying, 18F-fluorination, deprotection as well as purification and formulation steps.
The multi-faceted and complex processes associated with CMRF require particular attention with respect to reaction optimization in manual radiosyntheses.

In this case study multiple reaction temperature optimization and azeotropic drying (trapping of contaminated distillates) was shown and performed at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden.
