Vessels & adapters for synthesis & screening

For the xelsius Reactor Workstation a wide range of vessels and adapters is available, allowing flexible experimental setups for varying reaction conditions and multipurpose use:
For small-scaled batches (0.3 – 20 mL) there are glass or PTFE reaction vessels.
Specified glassware (e.g. water separator) extends applicability.
The 5-port cap facilitates gas-tight integration of tubes (gassing, inerting and dosing), septa (sampling) and sensors (probing).
Multiblock adapters, holding multiple vials or tubes, increase capacity for parallel synthesis, screening and sample preparation.
Specific adapters ensure compatibility for vessels commonly used in laboratories.

High Volume Vial PTFE
The High Volume Vial PTFE (HV Vial PTFE ) is a reaction vessel for batches of 5.0 – 20.0 mL under highly alkaline conditions or in the presence of hydrofluoic acid. The vessels low wall thickness allows fast heat transfer.

Water Separator Vial
The Water Separator Vial (HV Separator) is a glass reaction vessel with water collection reservoir in the recondensation segment for azeotropic distillation, esterification or polycondensation reactions.

Multi-functional 5-Port Cap

For multi-functional experimental setups the 5-Port Cap offers the gas-tight integration of tubes for gassing, inerting and dosing, septa for sampling as well sensors for probing, monitoring and temperature control.
Four side ports provide 1/16” (Ø = 1.6 mm) or 1/8” (Ø = 3.2 mm) feedthroughs.
A center port is equipped with a septum and needle guide plug,
alternatively this position can be used for the intergration of probes.
The 5-Port Cap is compatible to HV Vial & LV Vial

Multiblock Adapter for Shell Vials
This multiblock adapter (Multiblock Vial OD 8 mm) hosts four shell vials (V = 1.4 mL) enhancing the capacity for parallel synthesis and screening up to 40 micro-scaled batches for one xelsius reactor. The multiblock cap is fitted with septa, ensuring tight sealing of the shell vials, an extension handle supports easy and safe use.

Multiblock Vial OD 8 mm
Multiblock Adapter for NMR Tubes
The Multiblock adapter hosts five NMR-tubes. For better solubilization (sample preparation) or in-tube reactions (e.g. kinetic studies) NMR-Tubes can be heated in safe and controlled manner. For in-tube reactions an insulation ring allows synthesis under reflux-alike conditions.

Multiblock NMR Tube
Adapter for Vials (OD Ø = 20 & 19 mm)
The outer diameter of xelsius vessels is normed to Ø = 24 mm. As there are vessels with different outer diameter, which are commonly used in laboratories, these adapters provide compatibility to the xelsius Reactor Workstation.
